The sub-10 hour finish is the “four-minute mile” of full-distance triathlon. It is the definitive threshold where raw talent meets calculated obsession. For the 2027 season, Ho’Omau is putting $100,000 on the line to reward 20 age-groupers who shatter this barrier for the first time.

Whether you are a mid-pack dreamer or an age-group phenom, the Sub-10 Challenge™ shifts the spotlight away from the professional circuit and shines it directly on the amateur. We aren’t just rewarding a clock time; we are rewarding the grit of the journey.

100K Age Group Award

We’ve engineered a 20-deep cash prize pool to reward the effort of the “Citizen Athlete.” The top age grouper takes home $25,000—a payout that rivals professional podiums and recognizes elite-level amateur performance.

The Awards Gala

The season culminates in an exclusive awards ceremony in Santa Monica, California. The Top 5 finishers will participate in a formal “Check Ceremony,” media gala, and trophy presentation to memorialize the achievement.

Feature Documentary

Selected Sub-10 challengers will receive the opportunity to have their season memorialized in our 2027 documentary. We showcase the data, raw emotion and grit of the training blocks leading up to the big day.

Performance Tools

All Age groupers signed up for the 2027 Sub-10 Challenge receive priority, discounted access to Ho’Omau performance tools, athlete testing services and training camps to maximally optimize their engines.
