Managing Your Connections & Reporting Issues

The Ho'Omau network is a professional environment for athletes, not bots or spammers. To protect the quality of your experience and the focus of the Ho'Omau community, we have built-in tools to help you manage your digital boundaries. If an interaction - whether in the OpenTrack Forum or SyncUp Chat - becomes a distraction or violates our professional standards, here is how you handle it.

Personal Boundary Tools

You have full control over who has access to your time and your data.

  • Unfriend: If you no longer wish to chat with a specific member, you can unfriend them directly from their or your profile.
  • Blocking: If a user is becoming a nuisance in your chat feed, use the Block feature within the SyncUp interface. This immediately severs their ability to message you, ensuring your focus remains on your training.

Reporting Spam & Harassment

We have a zero-tolerance policy for solicitation, spam, or unprofessional conduct. If a user is bypassing the "unfiltered endurance talk" and moving into harassment or commercial spamming, we need to know.

  • How to Report: If the behavior is egregious—or if you witness a user spamming the forum boards—contact the Ho'Omau Mod account immediately via SyncUp Chat.
  • What Happens Next: Our moderation team will investigate the logs. Because we are a curated community, we move quickly. Anyone found to be intentionally disrupting the network or harassing members will be removed from the community.

Identifying the Noise

To help us keep the network clean, please report:

  • Commercial Solicitation: Anyone trying to sell you products or coaching services unsolicited via private message.
  • Non-Sport Harassment: Any behavior that is personal, derogatory, or unrelated to the endurance mission.
  • "Bot" Activity: Any suspicious, repetitive, or automated-style messaging.
